Qantas new Brisbane to Hobart Route: $10 Accommodation Specials at Huon Bush Retreats
Qantas has announced a new direct route Brisbane to Hobart for this summer. Seats and accommodation in Tasmania at that time of year are very limited, so be sure to book ahead. Stay at least 4 nights at Huon Bush Retreats, including a Wednesday and the Wednesday night is just $10.
The direct four-week seasonal service will start on December 27 and run until the summer school holiday period is almost over. Qantas Regional Manager for Tasmania Stephen Farquer said the airline would operate a two-class Boeing 737-800 on the route. The aircraft has 168 seats and services will operate on a Saturday and Sunday for about four weeks.
“Not only do these services give Tasmanians the opportunity to visit Queensland without changing aircraft, it means Queenslanders now have the choice to fly Qantas direct into Tasmania,” Mr Farquer said. Jetstar already provides a Brisbane to Hobart service but Tourism Industry Council Tasmania chief executive Luke Martin said the sector would be buoyed by more “red-tailed” planes in Tasmanian skies. |
These direct flights run each Saturday and Sunday make for a 1 week Tasmanian holiday. Spend the weekend in Hobart enjoying Salamanca Market, Mona and the docks, plus spend mid week exploring the waterways, wilderness and wildlife of the Huon Valley and Bruny Island.
