Shutterbug Photography Tutor

and share your passion for photography with like-minded people. Experience Tasmania’s historical charm and be captivated by its spectacular coasts, mountains and forests, rivers and waterfalls, unique flora and fauna, and so much more. Photograph the scenes you observe with practical in-the-field guidance. You’ll have the time to capture your own photographs, not just snapshots.

Shutterbug Walkabouts is the brainchild of Roy & Coreena Vieth who have made several journeys to Tasmania over many years and in 2011 the journey was a permanent move to begin a new life and launch a range of experiences for photography enthusiasts.

Shutterbug Walkabouts is an amalgamation of Roy’s photography skills, knowledge & experience and Coreena’s background in the tourism industry (and shared interest in photography). It is a dream realised to start a business providing an activity for which both of us are so passionate about.

It is advisable that you have a basic understanding of your camera settings; bring your instruction manual if possible.

WEATHER
Shutterbug Walkabouts will operate in most weather conditions... “bad” weather does not mean “bad” photos - the opportunities will be different. If however, we are forced to cancel due to inclement weather conditions you may either reschedule or be refunded accordingly.
Picture
Roy has been a photographer for over 35 years and is an Emerging Member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography). He has captured images from around the world using a variety of cameras from film to digital and now uses a Canon 1D Mark III and 5D Mark II. Over many years, the people who have come to know Roy have recognised that he captures breath-taking images, many of which are displayed in living rooms around the world. He has also shared his knowledge and experience to encourage budding photographers release their “inner shutterbug” and develop their own style in their photography pursuits…the inspiration behind Shutterbug Walkabouts.

Buttongrass Retreat is a place to escape from the hassles of modern life for a few days.
