The seperate bedroom has a king sized bed and blends seamlessly with the ensuite. Enjoy a bath with a view to the forest. Separate shower and deep soaking bath, towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Also available at extra cost, relax in our beautiful wood fired sauna, situated by our lovely pond & looking into our native bushland, this super luxurious sauna will help you to detox, relax & unwind.
With a refreshing shower outside and a deck with table & chairs to relax & enjoy nature.
Cost - $100 (correct July 2025)
Includes
- Unlimited use of the Sauna for duration of your stay
- A Jug of filtered water
- Water bucket & scoop for steam
- Luxury Sauna dressing gowns (To be returned after use for laundering)
- Unlimited Firewood
- 2 x pairs of compostable slippers (Yours to keep)

The Firebox will be set & ready for you to light for your first usage. It takes approximately 40mins to 1 x hour to heat sauna for use.

These are our basic prices. Pricing changes according to season. Discounts sometimes available, particularly midweek, off season or longer stays. Use the  "Book Now" buttons to see pricing for specific dates.

Single Night Pricing  (as at June 2024)
Sunday to Thursday = $299 per night
Friday & Saturday = 2 nights minimum 

Multi Night Pricing  (as at June 2024)
Sunday to Thursday         -  $299 per night
Friday & Saturday             - $340 per night 
Further discounts are sometimes available for non-refundable, longer stays and less popular nights.

Please advise your choices early to give us time to book the chef and gather fresh ingredients. We use local and natural ingredients as much as possible according to seasonal availability. Prices correct at November 2025.

About 50 minutes drive south from Little Seed, is Hartz Mountains National Park.

​We welcome your furry friends, we consider your puppy to be a member of your family. There is a one off charge of $65 if you wish to bring your Dog.
Dogs are not automatically accepted. They can often be accommodated by discussion with the cottage hosts. We do have a few conditions if you are to bring your Puppy:
  • Dogs Must be on leads at all times - we have free ranging Chickens & lots of wallaby's , pademelons & other wildlife on our property, Dogs are NOT to be left in studio unattended
  • Dogs are NOT to be on furniture or beds, any damage caused by dogs will be charged for
  • You can include your dog as an extra during the online booking process.

Morning or afternoon cruises depart most days on this classic wooden motor cruiser. Local snacks and drinks and the natural scenery of the Huon River. 
Join us on board a classic wooden motor vessel, where you can enjoy the scenery of the Huon River and hear the story of LaDrone's  history around Australia. Enjoy morning or afternoon tea featuring Tasmanian drinks and delicacies, or simply sit back and enjoy the timeless feeling and the beauty of the Huon Valley. Cruises depart most days from Herriots Point, between Franklin and Geeveston.

The restaurant has won numerous awards for its delicious menu, with lunch served between 12pm – 3pm (please check days on website). The cellar door is open for tastings 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm.

Five minutes drive from your cabin, is the waterfront village of Franklin. Cafes, art and craft, museums, a working waterfront and the Wooden Boat School make this picturesque village a fascinating day out.

The numerous displays and exhibits contain antiques and memorabilia that effectively demonstrate how the pioneers lived and worked. You will find the agricultural history of the Huon Valley come to life as you stroll through years gone by.

30 minutes drive to the track head at Huon Bush Retreats, then 3 hours return walk through rainforest to a mountaintop and small waterfall.

Nearby towns and villages

Franklin, Tasmania

This comfortable Bed and breakfast is perched in the hills just above the Huon River. It is just a 5 minute drive to the riverside village of Franklin, where you can find a range of eateries, a wooden boat museum and cruises form the marina.
Huonville is 15 minutes north with a range of supermarkets, eateries, post office, vehicle repairs, doctors etc.

With a population of about 2000, it is big enough to have most day to day things but rarely crowed. Note that restaurants close early, so e recommend arriving at the restaurant by 7:30, or phone ahead to be sure.

On the northern edge of Huonville is Home Hill Winery (open for lunches)
and ​Willie Smiths Apple Shed (cafe daily and fun dinner and music on Friday nights).
